Where to Promote your Green Giveaways for Free

As much as we'd like to be, Ecobunga! is not in a position to post every green giveaway out there.  In the case of companies or bloggers who are hosting a giveaway that we can't promote, we always offer a list of alternative sites which will list your giveaway at no cost.

Are these sites exclusively green?

Not in the least.  But as we've pointed out in an earlier post, "Should Green Retailers Try Groupon?",  green retailers should not exclusively focus their attention on green-only sites.  As mentioned,

Mainstream consumer sites are exactly where green retailers need to be in order to increase brand awareness of their stores and their products.

So, promoting your sweepstakes or contest on a mainstream site is smart marketing.

To start you off, here's a list of sites which accept free giveaway listings. The first two are by far the largest, but the mom-focused sites provide you with the opportunity to strut your stuff in front of a key audience for green products.

Remember, different types of giveaways will attract different types of leads (see "Sweepstakes or Contests: What's a Marketer's Best Bet?".)   And the fact that the above sites are not green-focused means that you will undoubtedly attract entrants who will only be interested in winning your product, not buying it.  But the number of people you can reach through mainstream sites greatly exceeds the number you can reach via niche green sites, and so you may find it worth your while to list your giveaway on these sites.
